Why this project?
The territory of Nyiragongo, in North Kivu, faces many socio-economic difficulties aggravated by repetitive security crises. These conflicts have caused massive displacement of the population and loss of livelihoods.
Faced with this situation, many young girls and women live in great vulnerability. They are often victims of violence and do not have access to economic opportunities.
Sauti Ya Amani (The Voice of Peace) is our response: a center where these women can learn a trade, regain their dignity and become actors of peace in their community.
