LAVIE MATEMBERA JOSAPHAT, 33 years old and married, was born and raised in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a region marked by repeated conflicts for more than three decades.
At preschool age, at 4 years old, he was forced to walk more than 100 km to flee the war and its consequences.
Although the DRC is rich in natural resources, its population remains among the poorest, mainly due to these prolonged conflicts. This situation has created a sense of abandonment among the youth, exposing them to delinquency, the formation of large-scale armed groups, and the rise of armed robberies at the local level.
Drawing from these difficult experiences, LAVIE MATEMBERA decided to co-found "Sowing the Seed of Peace in Africa" (SOSPA). This organization aims to provide concrete support, even minimal, to war victims, while cultivating hope and the conviction that lasting peace can be established in Africa.
Together, we can invest in the people and projects that are courageously changing the future of Africa.
