Biography

I am Achille AMANI CABWENEMWAMI, from the Democratic Republic of Congo in its eastern part, precisely in the province of South Kivu where I was born, raised and where I currently reside. I am married and father of four children.

The East of the DRC has for more than 30 years been recognized as a region marked by cruelties of all kinds linked to wars and repeated armed conflicts, which cause daily population displacements, rapes and armed robberies, and all other forms of serious suffering.

Growing up in such situations extremely touched me, if not traumatized me, because not only as a witness, but also as a victim. From a young age, the question of peace and justice has always been my first concern.

For Africa in general and for me in particular, peace is not only a matter of will, but also and above all a duty for all. This peace, we must together seek it, announce it and defend it.

Thus, "Sowing the Seed of Peace for Africa" is for me a sure way to restore hope to these peoples hungry for justice and victims of social inequalities, living in the shocks of endless wars and conflicts — to all those who aspire to justice, equality, freedom, peace and who fight for the restoration of the dignity of the human person, as created in the image of God.
